What you'll do:

    • Proactively assist in the development and implementation of communication initiatives for internal and external audiences, with a primary focus on social media content and public relations opportunities.
    • Work closely with Marketing and Communications team members to create content to help execute their respective strategies. This includes, but is not limited to, writing and editing a variety of consumer and customer communication pieces; social media content, newsroom articles and other media relations initiatives.
    • Lead and manage a variety of internal and external events by coordinating the event brandscape, logistics, speakers and content, visual materials, budget and more.
    • Manage company social media platforms, including creating and executing a strategic social media plan, updating branding as needed, coordinating live events, monitoring and replying to customers and tracking and reporting out metrics.
    • Work with the visual communications team to create high-quality, brand-appropriate creative material in a variety of mediums, including print, email, intranet and visual signage.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English or related field
    • At least three to five (3-5) years of experience in marketing, communications or related experience
    • Strong knowledge of AP Style.

The strongest candidates for this position will also possess:

    • Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite
    • Ability to write and edit within BCBSNE brand

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement. The ability to meet or exceed the attendance and timeliness requirements of their departments. The ability to work well in a team environment and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with other staff, departments and customers.
