We are looking for a Communications and Volunteer Coordinator to join our team and help us advance our mission. As a Communications and Volunteer Coordinator this role supports the organization’s communications, community engagement, and fundraising goals and strategies across various channels with a focus on increasing annual financial and volunteer support. Working closely with the Director of Development, the Coordinator designs and implements creative strategies to engage multiple audiences and stakeholders, including volunteers, donors, the media, staff, clients, community leaders and the public. This position is responsible for helping to increase YouthLink’s visibility in the community and engaging external stakeholders with YouthLink’s mission through our website, social media, print, and other media. This position is also the main contact for volunteers and leads other staff in coordinating volunteer YouthLink’s engagement-based volunteer needs.

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Work Schedule: Typically, Monday – Friday, must have flexibility to work in the day, evening and occasional weekends.
  • Salary Range - $46,000 - $48,000

  • Comfort with Microsoft Office applications as well as exhibit an ability to learn and utilize handheld applications systems and other electronic recording systems.
  • A high degree of professionalism and ability to work with and maintain confidential information.

  • Ability to coordinate care, delegate tasks, provide referrals and problem solve as needed.
  • Dynamic energy, ability to multi-task and negotiate multiple demands on attention.
  • Demonstrate an ability to utilize continuous improvement techniques and quality research methods to optimize overall program operation and build community relationships.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively both individually and as part of a professional team..
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and driving record that is acceptable to the company’s Vehicle Use policy..
  • Passionate about YouthLink’s mission and vision.
  • Strong ability to interact professionally and engagingly with volunteers and other internal and external audiences.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, e-mail and content management systems, and constituent databases (WordPress, Mail Chimp, Publisher, and DonorPerfect preferred).
  • Able to think strategically, and anticipate and solve problems creatively.
  • A strong storyteller able to engage and connect audiences with the YouthLink mission and the youth we serve.
  • Strong ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects with different deadlines.
  • Able to work effectively as a member of a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to incorporate agency philosophy into communications and marketing work.
  • Able to build and maintain positive and productive working relationships.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $46,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
