Established Title Agency is seeking an experienced NY Commercial Title Examiner/Reader to join our team. The ideal candidate must have at least 10 plus years of experience in a similar role. Attention to detail, great communication skills (verbal & written) great organizational skills, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this position.

Primary Duties:

• Read, review, and analyze abstracts to determine vesting information and whether there are any liens, judgments and encumbrances affecting title to the property.
• Review documents such as Contracts, Deeds, Mortgages, Subordinations, Probate, Trust, Organizational documents, Easements, Covenants and Restrictions, Divorce Decrees, Court Records, and others necessary documents to clear title.
• Examine Covenants & Restrictions & municipal searches to determine if it effect title and property use.
• Plot metes and bounds descriptions and knowledge of surveys.
• Complete curative requests for the previous chain of title issues.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 plus years of related experience
• Possess great time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal).
• Excellent spelling and language comprehension.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work tasks Initiate work/self- learning/development. Ability to work under deadlines.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
• Experience in SoftPro Select (Preferred but not required)
• Able to maintain work priorities in an environment with multiple concurrent tasks and projects and maintain flexibility related to assigned tasks
• High attention to detail a must
• High energy, a positive attitude a must

The annual base salary for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 (for NY info).
