POSITION DESCRIPTION

Commercial Account Manager

Ed Castro Landscape, located in Roswell GA, is an award winning design/build/maintenance firm seeking a Commercial Account Manager to join our expanding team. This position requires a horticulture background and experience selling both new contract and enhancement work to existing clientele. Ed Castro Landscape provides a wonderful work environment with a talented and supportive staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, maintain and grow a Commerciall portfolio.
  • Provide value to our clients through selling.
  • Always listen attentively when meeting with clients.
  • Central liaison and primary point of contact for client calls, complaints, maintenance and enhancement service needs.
  • Manage site quality through site walk-throughs and analysis with the client.
  • Communicate pertinent site issues, provide follow-up and resolution.
  • Build, communicate, and maintain budgets outlining annual client spending, enhancement and irrigation needs.
  • Proactively identify and sell potential opportunities to enhance or resolve problems on client sites. This includes, but is not limited to, issues of color, drainage, irrigation, tree removal, mulch, landscape redesign, etc.
  • Facilitate design work and estimate smaller enhancement solutions for client approval.
  • Work closely with field manager and field supervisors on communicating schedules for the delivery of all weekly maintenance services.
  • Work directly with enhancement teams (installation, flowers) to directly manage all sold work outside of contract.
  • Conduct ongoing customer review meetings to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Initiate and execute renewals for maintenance contracts.
  • Responsible for reviewing customer accounts for proper billing and invoicing.
  • Responsible for working with administrative department to resolve any billing issues.
  • Report all write-offs and significant problems with customers.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
  • Have attention to detail and willing to work on client sites with crew

Reporting:

This position reports to Director of Maintenance and Vice-President of Operations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of four years’ experience in client management, sales and landscape maintenance or related field.
  • Must have demonstrated background in sales and service management with a strong emphasis on communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of standard landscape and horticultural practices is required along with a basic understanding of hardscape and irrigation concepts.
  • Candidate must be proficient and software literate and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically; Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Candidate must be fluent in English.
  • Basic Spanish, plus.
  • Candidate must have excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Plant, turf, insect and disease ID.
  • Clean driving record and able to pass an initial drug test and random tests.
