The Role

The CoE Engagement Specialist will support the ongoing operations of all things HCBS. This position will create memorable experiences to engage employees, iterate on culture, and help drive company goals. The role will be based in Columbus, OH, and will report to the CoE Assistant Director .

Who we are looking for

  • 1+ years of experience in a people, HR, operations, or administrative role preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in a related role focused on creating programs that encourage employee engagement preferred
  • Ability to be flexible and deal with ambiguity in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Empathetic self-starter with a bias towards action that can own processes
  • Advanced time management skills; ability to prioritize, work independently and follow up consistently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Passionate about people and culture, capturing trends and offering solutions
  • Prior experience supporting employee resource groups, forums, discussion groups, events, etc., strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Google Suite, Zoom, + Slack (preferred)


What you will do

  • Function as point of contact for new DSPs from hire to completion of new employee orientation
  • Use best practice research, data, and employee feedback to improve processes, such as driving employee engagement and organizational effectiveness
  • Brainstorm and implement employee engagement strategies
  • Support trainer with needed materials and ownership of tasks related to onboarding of new employees
  • Serve as a liaison between operations and scheduling team to ensure an efficient flow for new hires between orientation and working with assigned people
  • This role is expected to be in the office or training location a minimum of 2-3 days a week
  • Travel up to 50% may be required for this role
