Job Summary

The primary purpose of this job is to operate and monitor EDM machines used in the production of the organization’s product. May be involved in equipment set-up, calibration and maintenance of more complex assignments and/or perform finish operations.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

1. Adheres to Integer Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.

2. Operates and sets up EDM equipment with assistance

3. Accountable for meeting cycle time and yield expectations.

4. Ability to simultaneously operate more than one machine as required.

5. Makes adjustments and monitors assigned equipment to ensure dimensional part integrity.

6. Maintains tooling following established tool life guide lines.

7. Troubleshoots and corrects problem with assistance.

8. Deburrs, buffs or sands parts to meet requirements to print specifications as required.

9. Verifies the revision level for current operations.

10. Verifies documentation and accuracy of completed operations.

11. Inspects parts visually and dimensionally using inspection equipment and techniques to ensure conformance to requirements.

12. Completes all applicable documentation for current operations.

13. Required to follow quality procedures to ensure traceability and segregation of materials as required.

14. Practices 5S principles on a daily basis.

15. Perform preventative machine maintenance as required.

16. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints.
• Ability to work with small precision parts to very close tolerances.
• Capability to use basic inspection tools including microscope and techniques.
• Capacity to understand and follow through with verbal or written instructions.
• Good understanding of shop math.
• Proficient with interpersonal relations, organization and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of continuous improvement and GD&T.
• Preferred experience: 1 years machine shop experience and/or including EDM experience.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
