Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our [Insert Community Site Name] team! The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) is responsible for passing medication under the direct supervision of the Assisted Living Director and to provide direct, hands-on care to residents.

Responsibilities:

• Under the direct supervision of the Assisted Living Director, the Certified Medication Aide (CMA) passes medication and provides treatments according to physicians orders and in accordance with facility policy.
• The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) reports changes in residents condition immediately to the Assisted Living Director.
• The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) practices good infection control techniques in all aspects of resident care.
• The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) provides restorative care to residents as assigned by the Assisted Living Director or as indicated in the overall plan of care.

Qualifications:

The Certified Medication Aide must have completed an approved training program and passed competency examinations in clinical skills and written knowledge to obtain certification as both a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Certified Medication Aide (CMA).
