PRIMARY FUNCTION
Directs and manages overall daily operations of a school-based Club under the control of the organization with the primary concern for a comprehensive, outcome-driven program and service delivery. The Club Manager also provides leadership and supervision of staff, develops and manages a budget and actively engages and supports community relations, volunteers, and membership administration.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership

  • Establish programs, activities and services that prepare youth for success and create an outcome-driven Club experience that facilitates achievement of youth development outcome, in accordance with established standards and goals.
  • Ensure a healthy, safe environment, with well-maintained equipment and supplies.
  • Demonstrate leadership to ensure proper conduct, safety and development of members.

Supervision

  • Allocate and monitor work assigned to program staff and volunteers, providing ongoing feedback and regular appraisal. Identify and support training and development opportunities for assigned staff.
  • Ensure productive and effective performance by all program staff.
  • Work with Human Resources, assisting with the recruitment and hiring of staff.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings.

Fiscal Management

  • Manage Club financial resources, assisting in the development of the Clubs annual budget. Control expenditures against budget. Submit membership fees and other funds to Finance Dept.
  • Meet with the Field Finance Manager on a monthly basis to review financial reports.
  • Prepare regular statistical and financial reports as required by BGCC and funding sources.

Outcomes/Tracking

  • Ensure the evaluation of Club programs on a continual basis, including tracking outcome metrics.
  • Compile and submit regular reports reflecting all activities, attendance and participation for all members.
  • Recruit and enroll youth to maintain adequate membership totals. Ensure member applications are complete and submitted.

Marketing, Public Relations and Partnerships

  • Develop and maintain positive relationship with host school administration, staff, and parents.
  • Establish working relationships with police, local community leaders and organizations within the community to increase the visibility of programs and activities within the Club.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Purchase or approve purchase of supplies and equipment, maintaining adequate supplies for all program areas.
  • Work with staff on special events to carry out programs and activities.
  • Exercise authority in problems relating to members; utilize guidance and discipline plan.
  • Assume other duties as assigned.

RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: Maintain regular contact with the Chief People Officer, Senior Leadership Team, and Executive Directors to provide assistance in matters of recruiting and Human Resource operations.

External: Maintains contact with external community groups, schools, vendors, and others.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Bachelors Degree in related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years in management role, BGCA leadership experience a plus.
  • Ability to manage, train, develop, and coach small team of staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership to program launches and new program development.
  • A positive history of leadership in the areas of program planning, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong collaborator with excellent verbal, written and presentation skills with the ability to adapt message to audience.
  • Working knowledge of budget preparation, control and management.
  • Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents and community leaders.
  • Ability to manage multiple program areas including, youth development, online programming, day camp and collaborative ventures with community partners.
  • Demonstrated strategic and critical thinking skills with budget development, fiscal management, strategic planning, and continuous improvement outcomes.
  • Familiarity with the community is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Ability to continuously stand, walk or sit.
  • Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to be outdoors during all seasons occasionally.
  • Will require some local travel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,500.00 - $55,000.00 per year
