Job Description:
Crum & Forster is looking for a Cloud Automation Developer for their Commercial Lines Organization. This role requires experience in design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise class systems, both on the cloud and on premise.
What you will do:
Identify and implement opportunities for automating existing processes to streamline operations and support functions- Building Lamda function using Python
- Troubleshoot complex relationships between components of multi-tiered applications
- Drive resolution of issues with a focus on minimizing disruption and downtime
- Design and Develop automation projects related to operations and security
- Collaborate well with others and can influence the team members and broader engineering groups in adopting best practices
- Prepare and lead technical presentations or demonstrations
- Ability to identify the need and adopt new and standard technologies through research and implementation
What you will bring to C&F:
2+ year of experience with coding and scripting in Python or similar
- Proficient in scripting languages (Python, YAML, JSON etc.)
- Hands on experience in writing Lamda function using Python
- Hands on experience with Python along with several AWS tools and services to design and develop automation on event-driven AWS serverless computing platform
- Highly self-motivated to explore automation opportunity in multi-tenant cloud platform
- Ability to translate architectural requirements to Infrastructure as code (IaC)
- Ability to create and utilize AWS CloudFormation templates, to automate resource creation
- Strong working experience with architectural best practices focused on cloud design and cost optimization
- Troubleshooting skills and ability to understand complex relationships between components of multi-tiered applications
- Solid understanding of Software delivery life cycle and industry standard development practices
- Solid understanding of Project Life Cycle Management and experience of working with AGILE Methodologies
- AWS Certification is a plus
