Seeking a Clinical Therapist, Licensed or licensed eligible, for a Residential Program serving up to 9 female identified youth ages 12-18, who have experienced abuse, neglect & trauma.

Many youth are referred through CWS and or Probation who have suffered from complicated chronic trauma. NAI is committed to Trauma informed Care principles and candidates are encouraged and expected to participate with the agency as we carry out this culture.

This is a dynamic opportunity to work in a small intimate home environment with a long term Licensed clinical supervisor and residential team.

New Alternatives Inc. operates a variety of programs located throughout SD County. Each program is a separate contract and although some programs may be co-located this is a stand-alone program in the Spring Valley area.

Compensation: $52-$68K a year –depending on experience and license status

Qualifications: LCSW, MFT, LPCC or ASW, AMFT, APCC, registration with CA BBS required.

Clinical Therapist responsibilities:

• Provide youth centered therapy for youth experiencing mental health challenges in a short term 9 bed residential home. Placements are typically 6mos-18 mos.
• Great opportunity to teach, and learn practices including DBT, MI, TF-CBT, CBT as well as expressive arts interventions.
• Provide 1:1 and groups as well as Family therapy when indicated and or beneficial to youth plan
• Youth are responsive to the structure & consistency of the therapeutic milieu schedule
• Great opportunity to work with youth & families from diverse backgrounds with a variety of needs, challenges and diagnosis.
• The training and tools utilized will prepare you for licensing exams.
• Documentation requirements based on best practices established by SD BHS.
• Position is diverse, challenging, with a high level of direct service hours.
• High level of clinical supervision and engagement
• Outpatient County Mental Health Contract.
• Bilingual (Spanish & English) preferred.
• Fast paced, dynamic environment.

Skills/Requirements:

• Clinician must have a Masters degree from an accredited university and must be registered with the BBS as an ASW, APCC or AMFT with a number.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
