Clinical Research Nurse | Institute for Global Infectious Disease Research
Job description
- Coordinate, facilitate, and carry out assigned clinical research study activities through the development or updating of protocols and standards for a study in collaboration with the research team
- Teach the research participants protocol and relate specific information; reinforce compliance to protocol procedures and activities regarding the clinical research study
- Collect and process research data and specimens as needed/required
- Provide assessment skills and direct nursing care when needed/required
- Coordinate and instruct ancillary staff on protocol with specific issues and needs
Bachelor's degree in nursing required; current New York State Registered Nursing License and a minimum of two (2) years of hospital and direct patient care experience required. Must obtain BLS upon hire and ACLS certification within six (6) months of employment. Must have Phlebotomy skills; IV certification preferred. Must be detail-oriented and highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks and problem-solve. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel program and other computer programs (electronic medical record) for documentation development, documentation, and creation and use of spreadsheets is required.
