Pay Range: $25.00 to $30.00 an hour

By adhering to Connecticut State Law, pay ranges are posted. The pay rate will vary based on various factors including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge of position and comparison to others who are already in this role within the company.

PACT MSO has a busy Internal Medicine Group with multiple locations seeking a Clinical Quality Coordinator. The position is located in West Haven, New Haven, Orange, Milford and Guilford and will be traveling to each location as needed. The hours are Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:15pm with rotating Saturday mornings.

The position supports all clinical administrative aspects of the practice.


Essential Functions

  • Coordinate and maintain patient schedules
  • Verify insurance as necessary and obtain proper authorization for provider visits
  • Point person for patient related telephone calls and addressing and resolving patient inquiries related to home visits
  • Coordinate provider schedules and procedures
  • Ensure proper communication between office and patients
  • Order, Organize, follow through quest home draw
  • Ordering and processing referrals
  • Ordering and processing diagnostic requisitions (xrays and US)
  • Triage patients for Satellite Office, if applicable
  • Point person for calls and email for specific area/department
  • Narcotic Report for Home Visits (making sure all patients have a up to date Controlled Substance Abuse Contract), if applicable
  • Ordering and processing request for Durable Medical Equipment, if applicable
  • Scanning in documents for patient visits
  • Obtaining Prior Authorizations for Medications, if applicable
  • Obtaining Prior Authorizations from insurance companies for Specialty Referrals, if applicable.
  • Completing all task assigned
  • Mail out packets for patient portal enrollment or make calls to patients directly when needed
  • Setting up VNA, PT and OT for patients, if applicable
  • Assist Management Team as needed, with day to day tasks and special projects of clinical nature

Skills and Knowledge

  • Communication skills
  • Full understanding of intake, check out and medical assistant role in assisting providers
  • Demonstrated experience using EMR

Education and Experience

  • MA or LPN with 5+ years of experience in Primary Care
  • 2+ years of EPIC experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a Primary Care office
  • 3+ years of experience with administrative work
