We are currently seeking a well-qualified Medical Assistant to join our PhysicianOne Urgent Care team. This a full-time opportunity with weekday 12-hour shifts (8-8), rotating weekends, and some holidays (9-5). The ideal candidate should be an experienced Medical Assistant with at least one year of experience being preferred. This position requires an energetic, organized individual that thrives in a fast-paced team environment.

Medical Assistant Primary Responsibilities:

• Greet and obtain pertinent clinical information, including the patient’s complaint, health history, and measurement of vital signs
• Medical assistant documents all patient-related communication and interventions in the patient’s electronic medical record (EMR)
• Assists providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments
• Performs CLIA-waived lab tests; draw blood and collect, label, and process specimens to send to the laboratory
• Performs diagnostic tests including; eye exams, EKG, Pulse Ox, Peak flow, and throat and nasal swabs
• Medical Assistants also receive ongoing training in routine administrative functions

Medical Assistant Qualifications:

• High School graduate or GED equivalent is required
• Successful completion of an accredited medical assistant program
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant is preferred
• Strong commitment to customer service and excellence in healthcare
• Proficient time management skills

Covid-19 & Seasonal Influenza Vaccinations are required as this is an essential part of the role.
