Summary:

The Clinical Content Specialist, Program Development, reporting to the Director, Program Development, will develop and optimize clinical programs to improve the CKD and ESRD population, using evidence-based research, best practices, and all regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review all applicable clinical guidelines to ensure program aligns with best practices.
  • Recommend changes and/or updates to workflows (current or future) to maintain compliance.
  • Manage clinical program requirements repository.
  • Effectively communicate key decisions needed based on new clinical guidelines and requirements with quality, operations and other key stakeholders.
  • Ensure program and workflow align with requirements set forth by NCQA, Medicaid, SNP, and other regulatory entities.
  • Research and stay current on best practices and standards of practice in CKD/ESKD, clinical areas/co-morbidities, population health, and value-based care.
  • Collaborate with data and technology teams for successful development and implementation related to clinical programs.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous development and rapid iteration.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Five (5) years of related work experience. and/or Bachelor's degree.
  • Clinical licensure: RN, RD or PharmD, NP or LCSW.
  • Experience researching, interpreting, and implementing clinical guidelines.
  • Experience with MOC, SNP, Medicaid, NCQA, contract requirements.
  • Experience working with vulnerable patient populations (CKD/ESRD, geriatrics, minorities, low income, uninsured, etc.)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Understanding of healthcare workflows for population health, value-based care, and care management.
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and desire to work in a fast-paced start-up environment.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to be both a strategic and tactical change agent in the clinical space.
  • Self-starter who will take initiative and be proactive when there are multiple priorities.
  • Strategic solution-seeker who sees opportunities when others see barriers.
  • Understands and complies with highest standards of confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lucid, and other web-based applications.

Travel Requirements:

This position requires up to 10% travel. Travel may be outside the local area and overnight

Physical Requirements

  • This job operates in a professional setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Normal manual dexterity is required.
  • Normal speaking and hearing abilities to interact with others in an office environment, over telephone or other video conferencing platform.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms and continuously repeat the same hand, arm finger motion many times as in typing.
