Position Summary

The Client Relations Senior Coordinator works within the Business Development – Client Relations Team to lead on key areas of revenue generation for the firm.

Responsibilities include partnering with relationship lawyers to cross sell opportunities, provide prioritized short term BD support for strategically important clients, and support on regional client targeting.

Essential Functions

The Client Relations Senior Coordinator:

  • Plans and executes strategies that will expand legal services provided to, and grow revenue from targeted clients, in partnership with the client relationship leader (CRL) and global client teams
  • Provides select Partners with short term, ‘super charged’ and prioritized BD in areas such as on boarding panel wins, new lateral partners and their previous relationships or strategic pursuits with clients that are time intensive.
  • Supports efforts to identify and target clients important to regional initiatives
  • Acts as a trusted adviser to Partners and collaborates with teams across the firm to properly leverage skillsets and drive efficiencies.
  • Support the Firm’s Client Insights programme by participating in meetings, follow up, and analysing themes, trends, and intelligence emerging from the feedback.
  • Organise and deliver client thought leadership events including client roundtables, client panel sessions at different events – regional, global and associates conferences. Where necessary, working in conjunction with local BD teams and Partners.
  • Produce thought leadership papers following thought leadership events and market them internally and externally to maximize benefit from the client interactions.
  • Meet with secondees and trainees before, during, and after secondments to ensure that they are keeping in touch with the firm and providing regular feedback during their secondments.
  • Supports on projects related to the Client Advisory Board
  • Works with the Client Focus Manager and Director to provide client development best practices, coaching CRLs and client teams across the firm
  • Creates and maintains a respectful, inclusive and supportive team environment across functional and geographic boundaries

Education: Bachelor’s degree required

Experience: Minimum 1-2 years’ experience managing people and/or teams, Minimum 3 years’ experience in a business development, marketing-related position, or position focused on growing business

Other

Pay Range: $80,000 - $109,800. This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of Reed Smith’s pay range for this position. Actual pay may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.

Equipment To Be Used: Personal computer and other office equipment such as telephone, calculator, fax, machine, copier, scanner, etc.

Typical Physical Demands: Manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment.

Typical Mental Demands: Able to work effectively in a fast paced environment. Make judgment decisions and adapt to changing work situations. Grasp and apply new ideas. Communicate with various personalities at all levels.

Working Conditions: Works in typical office setting. Occasionally called upon to work hours in excess of your normal daily schedule.
