Summary

Under general direction, performs a variety of job responsibilities which may include operation of a newer model application equipment, delivery of fertilizer and chemical products to customers, equipment and plant maintenance and fertilizer blending.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and delivering fertilizer and chemicals to customers
• Performs varied responsibilities such as: equipment and plant maintenance including welding, pump and engine overhauls, painting, and general housekeeping responsibilities; loading and delivering fertilizer and chemicals to customers; operating equipment to blend fertilizer; monitoring product application by calculating amounts, calibrating equipment, controlling application rates, and cleaning and storing equipment after application process; receiving and unloading product and performing warehouse inventory and storage functions.
• Miscellaneous duties such as assisting with special projects, attending training sessions, providing back-up when needed, etc.

Typical Education

Relevant Experience

• 2+ years related experience and/or training preferred
• Agriculture/farming background preferred
• Knowledge of the local geography/roads/farms a plus
• Knowledge of basic farm equipment and operation
• Basic knowledge in the areas of mechanical, electrical welding and metal fabrication are a plus. Includes, but not limited to:
• assist with equipment rebuilds
• Ability to set-up and calibrate a variety of application/injection equipment
• Ability to maintain maintenance records for equipment
• Familiarity with GPS units
• Attention to detail
• Exceptional customer service
• Bilingual a plus

Skills and Required Certifications

• Valid Class A CDL License
• CDL Endorsements:
• Hazardous (HM)
• Double/Triple (D & T)
• Tanker (TV)
• Must have or be willing to obtain Qualified Applicator's Certificate (QAC)
• Field Tractor Experience
• Must be able to wear a full face respirator
• Must be able to learn and adhere to Hazardous Materials PPE
• Must be able to life a minimum of 50lbs

Other Information

$17- $27/Hr Plus annual incentive plan eligibility
