Zurich is currently looking for a Claims Vendor Management Sr Specialist do you have DME (Durable Medical Equipment) experience or work with DME Vendors? This might be the role for you. We are open to hiring talent in one of the following locations: Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, or Wisconsin.

This role has responsibility for administering contracts with the larger / more complex outside vendors in line with the Business Unit´s Claims Vendor management strategy.


Interfaces between vendors and the company and ensures the company´s requirements are met. Seeks to continually improve vendor performance and drives high quality competitively priced vendor solutions. Assists in strategies to optimize vendor service performance and cost across the Business Unit Claims organization.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Responsible for managing and sourcing Claims vendors within the agreed authority levels. Works closely with the procurement function, is responsible for the due diligence process and negotiating new contracts.
  • Responsible for the development of vendor agreements for the larger/more complex vendors and supporting the associated negotiations.
  • Ensures quality and delivery of service level agreements by auditing and tracking vendors within area of responsibility.
  • Tracks and reports metrics to ensure performance against the agreed service levels. Manages Claims vendor performance issues in area of responsibility.
  • Participates in vendor performance reviews within area of responsibility / defined vendors and meetings with new and/or potential vendors. Drives continuous improvement in customer experience and cost savings.
  • Seeks out opportunities to eliminate redundancies and leakage in the Claims organization.
  • Adheres to the Global Claims Policy in the development and management of vendor agreements.
  • Monitors competitor activity to help ensure we maintain a competitive advantage and manage our vendors in line with industry standards and best practices.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Vendor Management area
    OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Vendor Management area
    AND
  • Experience managing external business relationships and performance


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing projects or teams
  • Customer Service experience
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Negotiating and contract administration

Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The salary provided is a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable range of compensation for roles. Compensation may exceed the salary listed based on the evaluation of skillset and experience. The starting salary range for the position is: $88,200.00 - $121,300.00.
