This role will be based in our Lawrenceville, GA office. We offer a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in the office; and 2 days remote. #

Key Functions will include but not be limited to:

• 
  Review new losses and appropriately manage claims through coverage analysis, investigation, damages evaluation, reserving and resolution on commercial property claims, including some litigated property claims.
• Provide excellent customer service to meet the needs of the insured, agent and all other internal and external customers.
• Evaluate property estimates and bills for accuracy and applicability to coverage relating to the type of claims submitted.
• Direct independent adjusters on inspection assignments to assure timeliness and quality in the claim handling process. Assure expenses are reasonable
• Establish timely and accurate claim and expense reserves and maintain proper reserving throughout the life of a claim.
• Negotiate and convey claim settlements within authority limits.
• Participate in regional round table meetings as needed.
• Write Reservation of Rights and Coverage Denial letters and other complex correspondence.
• Maintain an effective dairy system and document claim file activities in accordance with established procedures.
• Manage file inventory to ensure timely resolution of cases.
• Handle files in compliance with state regulations.
• Investigate claims for potential fraud and work with designated SIU (Special Investigation Unit) personnel.

• 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3 + years’ property and one year of General Liability claim experience preferred, preferably commercial related
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, organizational and presentation skills.
• Computer proficiency, working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of Xactimate and XACT analysis, preferred.
• Independent adjusters’ licenses for states of: AL, GA, MS, NC, SC & TN and/or ability to obtain licenses within 90 days of hire.
• Must be able to work as a team member to solve problems and exchange information.
• Limited travel expected (less than 10%).
