Job description
Pickering, Corts & Summerson, Inc., an award winning, multi-disciplinary engineering/design firm has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic self-starter to join our company as a Civil Engineering Technician/Designer in our Newtown, PA location.
We are seeking a performance driven individual to prepare engineering drawings, reports and permit application for Subdivision and Land Development projects. Ideal candidates would have experience with residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
- Experience preparing Land Development & Subdivision plans, site layout, grading, erosion control, storm drain & utility design and stormwater management.
- Ability to review applicable ordinances/regulations and prepare sketch, zoning, subdivision and land development plans.
- Possess knowledge of permit requirements for land development projects.
- Proficient in the use of various engineering design tools & software.
- Experience using AutoCAD (Civil 3D is a plus).
- Experience using hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software, desired.
- Proficient with MS Office.
- Ability to work in a team environment to reach mutual goals.
- Ability to learn quickly with strong communication skills and a solid work ethic.
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.
