PrestigeCM is specialized in providing staff augmentation of engineers and construction manager to Cities and Counties. Our client are seeking multiple design and drafting engineers and architects for Public Works projects in San Francisco. The level of the position and salary will be depend on the experience of the candidate.

Requirements:

1. Prepares and designs preliminary civil, architectural/landscape drawings, plans, elevations, and sections for a variety of building, landscapes, construction and maintenance projects which shall include calculating dimensions, developing component parts, plans, elevations and sections utilizing established architectural/landscape architectural practices, symbols and drafting techniques.

2. Visits project sites and makes routine field observations to verify that conditions conform to contract documents and shop drawings; takes field measurements and documents existing conditions.

3. Assists in the preparation of contract specifications, documents and preliminary cost estimates for the construction or conversion of buildings and/or landscape architectural projects.

4. Assists in the coordination and review of architectural/landscape architectural, structural, electrical, and mechanical drawings in order to assure that drawing components of a project meet with design, programming, and legal requirements. 5. Prepares written reports, summaries and correspondence related to architectural/landscape architectural activities.

- 40 hours/week: in-client office at 49 SVN

- Roadway designer with knowledge of Civil 3D, Autoturn, AASHTO and HDM, NACTO bikeway design, survey and roadway staking, pavement section design and pavement condition assessment.

- US Citizen or Work Permit/GreenCard required

Essential Duties:

- Prepares, reviews, and checks routine studies, calculations, designs, drawings, sketches, and plans for a variety of engineering projects using CAD and other software tools.

- Conducts field inspections of existing structures to determine the necessity for future construction, repair, or maintenance; conducts preliminary field studies and surveys and collects data relative to the preparation of designs and drawings; reviews and analyzes field data and results of office research to determine necessary corrective measures.

- Conducts routine field inspections of construction and repair projects in progress to ensure conformance with plans, specifications and codes; checks and records work progress at various construction sites.

- Gathers, prepares and maintains engineering data, records and reports.

- Prepares reports, contract specifications, lists of materials, cost estimates, schedules, and progress payments.

- Facilitates coordination meetings, prepares agenda and minutes.

Work with project teams to ensure projects are delivered to meet client scope, schedule and budget expectations.

- Perform other duties as assigned.
