Compensation: $156,820 to $433,141 per year

The ideal Chief Financial Officer will have at least five (5) years of experience as a Chief Financial Officer in healthcare, with exposure to Health Plans, and National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) or Taxpayer Delinquency Investigation (TDI) in the state of Texas.

About the Job

Our Client is looking for a Chief Financial Officer for their team in Huntington Beach, CA. This position will oversee and spearhead the various accounting and finance operations including, but not limited to, managing budgets, establishing policy, financial decision-making, controlling margins and debt, and making decisions about the organization’s assets and resources.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversees various accounting and finance operations of the organization in accordance with the established policies and accounting procedures.

• Implement and supervise the data processing, distributed systems, material management, and medical records functions.

• Provides training to subordinates regarding the aforementioned areas and conducts regular performance evaluations.

• Conducts cost-benefit analyses of capital and staff expansions for the CEO as part of the development of long-term and short-term organization operations plans.

• Plans and implements long- and short-term capital and operational budgets in accordance with the organization's objectives and plans.

• Analyzes budget variances and cash flows.

• Makes recommendations for budget modifications as needed.

• Provides assistance in the development of departmental budgets.

• Implements the organization's plans and objectives by monitoring, interpreting, and analyzing hospital financial data.

• Makes recommendations based on the identification and reporting of trends and potential business opportunities.

• Ensures that internal financial reports are prepared, including the necessary work papers for the annual audit.

• Prepares financial reports on time and accurately, ensuring they accurately reflect the organization's financial situation.

• Leads the analyses of market trends, financial reports, and operating procedures in order to create and implement means of reducing organizational operating costs and increasing revenues.

• Regularly creates and submits reports on the organization's financial data for government compliance and other regulated agencies, including payroll tax reports, public disclosure reports, and third-party payor cost reports.
  

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three (3) years of CFO experience in a healthcare setting.

• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting experience in a healthcare organization.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.

• CPA or Master’s Degree is highly preferred.

• Experience with Health Plans is highly preferred.

• National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) or Taxpayer Delinquency Investigation (TDI) experience.

• Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Ability to direct organizational efforts toward tangible, material results.

• Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and the energy to create and inspire a passionate, hard-working team.
