The Opportunity

At this critical moment in its history, GLIDE is seeking a strategic and sophisticated marketing and communications leader to serve as the Chief Communications & Marketing Officer (CCMO).

The CCMO is responsible for leading GLIDE’s marking and communications efforts, branding, and building out the communications team.

The CCMO, reporting into the CEO, leads a team of 3 to ensure GLIDE’s message is distributed across channels and to targeted audiences in order to meet awareness, engagement and fundraising objectives. They provide public relations counsel and thought partnership to the CEO and serve as a member of the organization’s Executive Team.

Key responsibilities of the CCMO include:

  • Direct the development and execution of a marketing and communications strategy.
  • Develop and execute a best-in-class, fully integrated, communications strategy, structure and processes that support all aspects of GLIDE’s mission and effectively implement the brand strategy in a rapidly evolving, multi-channel world.
  • Oversee the development and execution of strategies to proactively and creatively drive visibility for the GLIDE brand, it’s key spokespeople (e.g., the CEO) and key messages.
  • Develop, coach, and motivate a best-in-class team capable of delivering across a broad range of strategies and operating goals. Create a results-focused environment that includes clear goals, regular feedback, and transparent accountability.
  • Serve as a compelling and inspiring spokesperson for GLIDE in front of the media and other key audiences as needed.
  • Build strong and collaborative working relationships with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to create and implement communications strategies and initiatives.

The CCMO will bring deep experience building and implementing innovative marketing strategies. This executive possesses a high-level of intellectual horsepower and a track record of developing and nurturing a team. The ideal candidate will have skills to grow an organization’s reach and therefore revenue by broadening and diversifying audiences through innovative and entrepreneurial branding and marketing tactics. It is imperative that the CCMO possess the ability to proactively bring ideas to the CEO to grow revenue and engagement.

This leader will demonstrate a commitment to social justice and will clearly embody the organization’s core values and mission. Compensation & Benefits

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. The range begins at $200,000.
