Position: QA/QC Technician (Multi-Lab)

Location: Ames IA 50010

Duration: 6 months

Pay rate: $20/hr.

Shift: 8am to 4:30pm

Job Description:

This position will work to support our Physical and Biological Chemistry laboratories for our seed treatment and crop protection production facility.

• Inspection of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods using established test methods

• Calibration and maintenance of lab equipment

• Effective communication of batch results to the appropriate personnel

• Reporting and support testing of non-conformances related to quality

• Generation and maintenance of records related to product quality

• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

• Laboratory testing to support Quality personnel on day-to-day projects

• Preparation of media for use in both laboratories

• Microbial Testing and Plate Reading

• Assist in plant swabbing program

• Autoclaving of glassware and solutions

• Cleaning and disposal of laboratory waste

• Assist staff in tracking and stocking laboratory supplies

• General support for Quality Management at the Site, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ability to distinguish colors

• High attention to detail

• Strong team player

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous Quality Control experience preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry OR Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline with 1 year of laboratory experience.
