We are currently seeking a Chief Financial Officer.

General Summary of Duties:

The ideal candidate for CFO will be the financial and operational leader in all matters. The CFO will work to enhance the role that strategic finance will play in growing revenue streams, and accurate reporting capabilities within the organization. Responsible for providing programs and operational support to MOC. Will be able to shape and develop the overall ling-term financial strategy. This position is strongly oriented toward establishing a collaborative and strategic role within Midwest Orthoopaedic Consultants.

Essential Functions:

• Manages the financial areas of the organization and related entities
• Oversight and monitoring of outsourced Revenue Cycle Management
• Prepares and reviews monthly financial reports and supporting documents
• Analyzes, reviews and negotiates payor contracts and fee schedules
• Reviews and approves accounts payable and organizational contracts
• Oversees and/or prepares reviews and approves all monthly reconciliations
• Prepare physician and provider compensation formulas
• Calculates the monthly ancillary distributions
• Maintains all banking relationships
• Develops and monitors policies and procedures within GAAP to ensure sufficient cash flow
• Improves the profitability of the company through monitoring costs and reducing overhead
• Responsible to retirement plan financial administration and compliance
• Develops and implements strategic long and short term to strengthen financial goals
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required
• Master's Degree preferred
• CPA preferred

Experience:

• Minimum of five years progressive financial and management responsibility
• Orthopedic practice experience preferred
• Physician practice and revenue cycle management experience required
• String process improvement experience to evaluate and optimize workflows
• MGMA membership beneficial

Knowledge:

• Principles of financial management to coordinate all fiscal aspects of practice
• Government and healthcare fiscal regulation reporting
• Understands balancing business needs with financial compliance and risk management

Skills:

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Project management skills to resolve issues and coordinate efforts to improve
• Proactive communication to keep stakeholders apprised of status of business

Environmental/Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in an office environment.
• Position requires frequent contact with staff.
• Requires some travel between locations when indicated
