Title: Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

Employment Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday - Thursday, 8am - 7pm; Occasional Weekend Hours Possible

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performing physical examinations on patients
  • Educating patients and/or caregivers on their condition and diagnosis
  • Formulating a diagnosis and treatment plan
  • Compiling patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination
  • Treating minor injuries by performing suturing, splinting, and other procedures
  • Performing injections and arthrograms
  • Responsible for ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and x-rays, and making diagnoses
  • Assisting physician in coordinating pre and post-surgical care
  • Consulting with supervising physician as needed
  • Documenting and dictating patient encounters
  • Participating in coding reviewing process and chart review program
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program with state license required
  • Up to date and current on CME credits, licenses and board certifications, required
  • Three years of previous Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner experience in an Orthopedic setting is required
