The campus is also home to primary care physicians, a senior residence, sleep center, cancer center, orthopaedic surgery center, wound care & hyperbaric center, and an emergency department staffed by all board-certified emergency medicine physicians.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Shift is 3:00pm- 11:00pm. Responsible for the correct decontamination processing and sterilization of all items in the hospital that require steam sterilization. This job requires the ability to work around bloody instruments.
Education Requirements:
- Must have high school diploma/GED
Responsibilities:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must have amazing customer service
- Must be great team member
- Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments according to the standard AAMI processing guidelines
- Cleans/decontaminates surgical instruments
- Identifies and assembles multiple types of surgical instruments and instrument sets
- Recieves and process contaminated equipment, trays, instruments and carts from appropriate area
- Inspects all instruments for cleanliness and condition, removing defective insturments.
- Operates sterilizers, washers and other processing equipment in accordance with department policy
- Maintaining accurate and detailed sterilization records
- Demonstrates knowledge of medical and product terminology having a complete knowledge of sterilization methods, requirements and responsibilities
- Has knowledge of and observes all infection control policy and procedures at all times
- All employees are required to be vaccinated or provide a valid medical or religious exemption.
