Job description

We are looking for an experienced Catering Assistant with the professional skills and personality to help organize and facilitate top-notch in-home dining experiences. Candidates must be exceptional at communicating with clients and partners, organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating elevated event experiences.

Pay: $20/hr. for assistant admin work | $30/hr. for events

Schedule: 10-20 hours/week usually between 11am - 6p (partially remote and partially in person)

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Planning, organizing, and finalizing details for events with clients, restaurant partners, and vendors
- Placing online orders with rental vendors and restaurant partners
- Answering calls, texts, and emails from new and current clients and partners
- Updating and editing company website as necessary
- Creating and editing menus for both in-person events and website use
- Buying and creating simple floral arrangements for events
- Prepping and packing catering equipment kits for events
- Running occasional errands related to events

Event Duties and Responsibilities:
- Packing, lifting, and occasionally transporting all necessary equipment for events.
- Loading and unloading all equipment into company SUV
- Setting up event space including decor, table settings, and kitchen equipment.
- Prepare, reheat, cook, and plate food before and during the event.
- Serve several coursed meals to guests.
- Constant table maintenance throughout event.
- Serve and refill alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Assist with post-event clean up, washing dishes, storing food, and break down of events.

Requirements and Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Reliable transportation
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Time management
- Proficiency in Google Docs and Google Sheets
- Experience with Triple Seat Event Management Software a plus
- Experience with Canva a huge plus
- Familiarity with Slack and Just Call a plus

Event Qualifications:
- State applicable health and/or alcohol compliance card
- Must be of legal age according to state regulations to serve alcohol
- Previous server/bartender experience a plus
- Previous catering experience a plus
- Some experience with plating, cooking or related culinary work highly preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
