About the Job:
Odyssey is looking for a Truckload Logistics Planner to join its Brokerage Managed Services team. The individual in this role shall provide quality service and demonstrate excellence in managing load transactions to final delivery, while maximizing gross margins. The Truckload Logistics Planner will need to create long-term relationships with clients and carriers by being committed to an excellent work ethic.

In This Role, You Will:

• Manage all transportation activities.
• Ensure managed orders are submitted to carriers in a timely manner.
• Coordinate and negotiate rates.
• Verifying carrier qualifications
• Updating shipment status in ShipRite On Demand, Aljex, and Descartes.
• Responding to NCR reports and service failures.
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AND PROJECTS AS ASSIGNED.

Required:

• High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum three years truckload brokerage experience required.
• Customer service oriented.
• Good Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) skills.
• Working knowledge and experience utilizing Dat 360 and other load boards.
• Experience inShiprite, Aljex and Descartes is a plus.
• Excellent math and calculation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
• Goal-oriented and performance-driven.

Location:
This is an in-office role based in Charlotte, NC.
