As a Career Specialist in our Summit County office, you will:

• Accomplish young adult-focused goals by assessing needs, developing youth's skill set, providing mentorship, instruction, re-mediating, monitoring, supporting, and tracking/documenting progress while promoting the goals of JOG and facilitating compliance to JOG's standards and objectives.
• Work collaboratively with all members of the JOG team to determine best practices for participants and collectively aid in barrier removal and goal achievement.

A Bachelor's degree is required. Teaching, Social Work, Human Resource Management, Career Development, Job Placement/Development, Employment and Vocational Counseling, Career Guidance, Vocational Education, Community Service Administration, and Work experience with the private sector or disadvantaged youth.

Job Requirements:

• Available for work hours scheduled 8:00 - 4:30.
• Able and willing to lead small high school equivalency classes.
• Local daytime travel is occasionally required within a four-county radius.
• Computer skills include MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Online database management systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
