The Bounty:

• Competitive Compensation $20.00 - $23.00 an hour (based on experience)
• Get done early? We pay you more for that.
• Say you finish your delivery route in 6 hrs. If you maintain a high safety and customer feedback score, we pay a bonus to equal 10 hrs instead of 6.
• That’s 4 bonus hours just for doing a good job. Even a landlubber can see that math working out well.
• Referral bonus 1 friend = $100 x 3 friends = $500
• High performing Captains will be eligible for additional experiences. Concert tickets, NFL tickets, sailing lessons, wine tours, gift cards, team outings, spot rewards, bonuses, treasure chest gifts.

The Work:

As a Captain for Tradewind you are the last mile delivery associate who delivers that coveted wedding gift, the essential computer part, the birthday present, the crucial business item that’s been needed for weeks.

So much work goes into the Amazon customer transaction. You will be the closer, brought in to finish the deal by bringing that package the last leg of the journey, directly to the customer’s doorstep. You will need to follow ye olde (GPS) treasure maps to where X marks the spot, delivering the treasure that make people’s days brighter.

This is a high-level position with a lot of trust given to you. Our delivery vessels plus the merchandise inside are worth their weight in gold. We know you can do it and know that you can thrive at it! You will be the outward facing representative of our company and Amazon.

The hub (job location) for this position is located near the Napa County Airport. (300 Boone Drive American Canyon, CA). The routes encompass the cities of American Canyon, Fairfield, Benicia, Vallejo, Yountville, Sonoma, Napa, and the surrounding hills. We do not deliver to Oakland, Richmond, SF, or Berkley.

Captain Responsibilities:

• You will drive a Bluetooth-enabled, comfortable Amazon-branded 2021 Ford Transit 250 delivery van to deliver treasures to customers’ homes.
• 4-5 days of work each week creates your 40-hour week.
• You’ll adhere to strict safety standards on and off the road.
• You'll interact with Amazon customers and the public professionally and positively.
• You'll use a GPS delivery app system to manage the delivery process. You must be able to read a phone app-based map and navigate via GPS driving directions.

Captain Requirements:

• Ability to drive safely and deliver the goods on-time and in good spirts.
• Be 21 years of age or older with the ability to read and speak English.
• Have a valid driver's license, (a commercial driver’s license (CDL) is not required).
• Consent to a drug test and abide by our guidelines.
• Be able to operate and navigate a company-provided delivery van, weighing 10,000 lbs. or less.
• Be able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds.
• Appropriately handle challenging driving environments including heavy traffic and small country roads.
• Demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills in the field.

Captain Safety:

• Paid driver safety training (you get paid while you learn the trade).
• Old sailors like Captain Hook serve as safety examples to us. He came from a different time when peg legs, patches, and hooks were a sign of triumph and success at sea. Many would scoff at the principles of occupational health and safety back then.
• Today, we know better. Safety is very important to us. Not to disparage the old Captain, but from a safety perspective, Hook was sometimes careless, maybe even a bit reckless. Hook’s poor safety record would cost him his safety bonus if he were around today. Now days, safe Captains win the $$$ bounty!!
