Job Summary:
Provide day-to-day managerial, academic, office, and budgetary support for program; maintain, organize, and assist in the submission of grant reports and forms with staff from the Drury Alumni and Development Office; run data queries; assist in the scheduling of CAMP training and workshops; maintain management plan; enter, clean, and analyze data. Assist in the successful completion of the leadership institute.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provides day-to-day clerical support for CAMP program. This includes staff support and assistance with registration, student recruitment, scheduling. Student record keeping and maintenance. Budgetary support. Maintenance of CAMP Policy Handbook.
  • Perform data entry, queries and statistical analysis regarding CAMP student assessments and provide reports for review and submission by PI and Program Director.
  • Work in conjunction with the PI and Program Director and CAMP staff to recruit and link CAMP students to resources.
  • Foster interaction and engagement between the university, students, families and the greater community, and communicate and build an emphasis on higher education. Assist with leadership institutes for CMAP students, in/lead community and student lead initiatives for students and families, community stakeholder training and assessments. Assist students with registration, required academic paperwork and completion of degree requirements.

  • Experience working with diverse population required. A bachelor’s degree preferred, however, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
  • Ability to concentrate and pay attention to detail are necessary in order to convey accurate information regarding university policies.
  • Ability to bend/squat and lift in order to access files and carry support materials.
  • Ability to set goals, to prioritize and to organize tasks and workload in order to complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including courtesy and tact, are required in order to deal effectively with students and business professionals.
  • Spelling and grammar skills, normally used in daily correspondence with students and others, are necessary to communicate correct information.
  • Ability to use word processing software in order to correspond with students and businesses.
  • Ability to speak clearly and to hear accurately in order to answer and place telephone calls and to provide information to prospective and current students.
  • Ability to have a professional and neat appearance for greeting and working with prospective students, current students and business professionals.
  • Ability to solve problems and to think critically and independently for organizing and completing workload.
  • Ability to remember and recall details and events in order to remember students interests and educational needs.
  • Ability to handle deadlines and stressful situations in a calm, orderly and accurate manner in order to complete registration in a timely manner.
  • Ability to drive a car in order to travel to various program sites and to area schools and business locations. Must have a valid Missouri drivers license and good driving record.

Education and Experience:
  • Experience working with diverse population required. A bachelor’s degree preferred, however, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
