We are seeking a dynamic CADD Technician to join our team on a full-time basis.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Based in Chicago, IL, the role of the successful candidate focuses on CAD design and drafting for our private and public sector clients, with emphasis on structural and roadway related projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist the project manager and engineer with the preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates
• Perform and oversee the design and technical calculations, material lists, construction details, drawings and diagrams
• Prepare complex and complete engineering designs and drawings using computerized drafting tools, using AutoCAD or Microstation and examine drawings for conformity and errors
• Review all aspects of CADD drawings, such as drawing standards, spelling, readability and accuracy
• Coordinate design and drafting with project managers and engineers from outset to project completion
• Maintain proficiency in the latest relevant technologies
• Ensure proper adherence to company standards of procedure

• Minimum high school diploma or associate degree with certificate in drafting technology or related field
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related field
• Experience working with Illinois DOTs or local agencies an asset but not required
• Proficiency in Microstation/Geopak, Open Road Designer, AutoCAD, Civil 3D
• Skilled technical reading skills
• Strong working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to work within set procedure and policy to ensure the privacy protocols and standard operating procedures are adhered to at all times
• Enthusiastic and dynamic character who works well in a team setting with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
