COUGARS... IT'S TIME!

The BYU Special Events Staff is looking for fun and energetic people to help greet and assist guests while at the Marriott Center and other venues across campus. Positions include but not limited to Ticket Scanners, Portal Ushers and many others. Come be a part of Cougar Nation, not just as a fan but as member of the BYU Events family!

You are our eyes and ears at these events. You will be responsible for:

• Greeting & directing guests
• Scanning and checking tickets
• Problem-solving
• Ensuring venue policies are upheld

You must be:

• 16 years of age or older
• Dependable
• Professional
• Friendly
• Punctual
• Excellent at positively engaging guests
• Outstanding communication skills
• Able to stand for extended periods
• Repetitive stair climbing may be required
• Previous customer service experience a plus, but we will train you regardless of your experience.

Time Commitment:

Applicants must be able to work at least half of the events each month. Events include but not limited to:

• Men's Basketball
• Women's Basketball
• Gymnastics
• Men's Volleyball
• Devotionals
• Dancesport
• Many Others

Check in time for most events will be approximately 2 hours BEFORE the event start time. Most events range between 3-6 hours but events do vary.

Position Details:

Compensation: $16/hour

Work Location: Provo Campus

Employee Class: 1/2 Time (No more than an average of 17.5 hours per week)

Desired Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Close Date: 01/05/2023

Environment: Frequent exposure to a variety of conditions such as all-weather, large crowds, loud noise

Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints must hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
