If so, look no further than this opportunity within the Commerce + Ecosystems (C+E), Commerce Engineering Operations team.

This Business Program Manager role on the Commerce Enablement team is focused on product ingestion for the Microsoft Azure Cloud products, ensuring timely and accurate configuration and publication of products across 240+ WW markets for various Microsoft marketplaces and sales motions. Quality enablement is job #1, ensuring that products and service offerings meet business intent and are released in a controlled and compliant fashion at scale on the Commerce platform. To meet the explosive growth across Microsoft’s commercial business lines, time to market agility, the reduction of manual process touch, and consistent, on time delivery are essential for success. The successful candidate will also possess a growth mindset to help us innovate and transform the way we ingest and release digital products and services at the Company. They will think strategically and partner closely with Business Planning and Commerce Engineering teams to influence the right capabilities that meet emerging business needs and drive increased automation and self-service.

Responsibilities

  • Understand product and offer strategy, driving configuration in conjunction with business, marketing, system, and finance requirements.
  • Drive operational excellence required to ensure product configurations meet business intent with quality, compliance, and time to market agility.
  • Innovate and improve systems and processes that support product ingestion and release. Be accountable for a transformational roadmap that enables growth and scale to meet strategic goals, measure and report out on success on an on-going basis.
  • Develop strong partner relationships across Business Planning, Commerce Engineering, Finance, Compliance, and Operational teams.
  • Use data to surface learnings and build business case justifications that influence engineering investments in the right features and capabilities that move the Commerce platform forward.

  • Strong blend of biz + tech acumen and can quickly understand systems landscapes, inputs/outputs, and workflow design.
  • A passion for deeply understanding business and customer needs, enabling products, and driving for results.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to influence others without direct authority, including the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to team members.
  • Ability to tell a story with data and tailor messaging up and down the management chain.
  • Ability to be flexible and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced, business critical environment.
  • Strong core project management skills (scheduling, issue identification/resolution, risk mitigation, dependency management).
