Business Office Assistant
Heritage Hall –Blackstone is currently recruiting for a full time Business Office Assistant.
Job Summary
The Business Office Assistant is responsible for insurance billing and collections for a 180 bed Skilled Nursing Facility. The Business Office Assistant also issues Medicare Notices, checks referrals, and ensures that insurance authorizations are in place.
Qualifications
The Business Office Assistant must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task. Preference will be given to applicants with previous skilled nursing billing experience.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Must comply fully with American HealthCare’s Code of Conduct
- Must comply fully with American HealthCare’s HIPAA Policies and Procedures
- Ensure that Medicare, coinsurance, and private insurances balances are billed accurately and collected in a timely manner
- Check referrals and assist with obtaining insurance pre-authorizations when needed
- Reconcile and research insurance balances to resolve outstanding accounts and determine needed adjustments
- Process facility Accounts Payable invoices
- Perform the daily duties of the Business Office Manager in that employee’s absence
- Assist with answering the phone and directing visitors
