Business Manager
Salary: $36,000 annually before bonuses and commissions
Summary

The Retail Business Manager (“RBM”) is responsible for growing business sales in assigned wireless retail locations. This role will motivate, train, and support front-line experts in identifying and qualifying business customers through walk-ins, referrals and cultivating a healthy pipeline of qualified sales leads for small business (SMB). The RBM will support between 20-30 retail locations and will spend the majority of their week visiting each assigned store and creating cohesive partnerships while leveraging wireless products and services, geared toward businesses, for healthy sales and overall store performance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to, the following:


Business Sales Support
  • Drive incremental business sales in assigned retail locations
  • Support growth of the Retail Leads Program
  • Improve Retail SMB lead capture quality
  • Proactively prospecting leads with store employees
  • Work with retail sales staff to host/attend corporate events, perform outside B2B sales, etc
Train and Coach
  • Spend time in each assigned door 2-3 times per month
  • Teach retail front-line on how to identify, qualify, and close/hand-off business opportunities
  • Train and mentor retail staff on selling business products and closing business deals
  • Issue guidance on best path for closing business sales (in-store vs. lead routing)
  • Educate retail front-line on business plans, offers, and value props
Partner and Influence
  • Work to establish and maintain relationships with retail leaders and Mobile Experts
  • Partner closely with SMB sales team to drive quality leads, and provide additional lead info
  • Conduct purposeful store visits to share insights, provide expertise, and support store manager
  • Accessible to retail employees during retail hours (events, weekends, and holidays as required)
  • Mentor Retail Store Managers to build and maintain relationships with local chambers of commerce and similar organizations
Candidate Requirements
  • 18 years or older
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience: 5+ years wireless retail management experience, 3+ years wireless trainer, or 2+ years B2B sales or management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding people skills
  • Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word), and Google Workspace
  • Basic knowledge of wireless products (Apple iOS, Google Android, etc.)
  • Flexible availability (mix of day, night, and weekend hours may be required)
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable automobile, satisfactory driving record, and proof of auto insurance required
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently

Physical Demands

  • Lifting up to 25 pounds (or more in some circumstances)
  • Utilizing a box cutter or razor to open boxes
  • Working 40-45 hours (or more) per week
