POSITION SUMMARY:

The Business Intelligence Developer will support the business intelligence and reporting activities by developing dashboards and reports in Power BI. This position will manage, build, assist in design, and support the reporting tasks as needed for the various FSG companies in Power BI analytics tool. This position will also work to develop growing EDW data and toolsets, ETL, and analytics tools as well as support the development of new integrations and technology.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain and Create Reporting for FSG Companies using Power BI
• Become fluent in the organization of data within Fencing Supply Group SQL database and Infor M3 ERP.
• Administer both data and report/dashboard security in Power BI.
• Create and maintain row level security in the Enterprise Data Warehouse
• Meet with business unit stakeholders and end users to gather requirements for future dashboard development and enhancement.
• Create data sources in Power BI from the EDW
• Develop ETL for new acquisitions and disparate data sources
• Learn and understand Snowflake architecture in the EDW as well as Matillion or ETL.
• Work with App Dev to develop ETL for external data sources using (S)FTP or API Web Services
• Build Executive Dashboards with metrics and KPIs.
• Build Facts and Dimensions in EDW
• Assist in gathering requirements for KPIs as well as Functional Areas for EDW
• Assist managers in determining/developing accurate time estimates and meet deadlines.
• Provide excellent customer service.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in information technology or related field.
• 6 years working with Power BI
• 4 years working with Microsoft SQL (data migration, TSQL, comprehensive analysis, complex query/stored procedure development, indexes/triggers/views, and query optimizations.
• 4 years working with advanced T-SQL Stored Procedures and Queries· 4 years working Analytics Toolsets (SQL Analysis and Services, Tableau, or ClickView)
• 3 years developing Enterprise Data Warehouse and ETL
