About this role:

SkyRun is seeking a dynamic sales executive to contribute to the continued success of the company by growing our portfolio of properties in the Vail Valley.

We are hiring for more than just a Sales and Business Development pro. Yes, your primary focus will be growing our inventory of short-term vacation rental homes in the area. But, you'll have the chance to do much more than just sales. You'll start with selling our full-service vacation rental management services to homeowners while expanding the SkyRun brand throughout the territory. We are also looking for someone that wants to be a partner to the business, provide strategic insights and execute on growth and operations while carving their own career path.

Through building and maintaining relationships with second homeowners, real estate agents, and the community, this individual’s primary focus will be to generate, qualify, and close a pipeline of leads. This position reports to the co-founder of the company who is also the owner of SkyRun Vail and will collaborate closely with the local and national SkyRun teams in order to achieve success.

The ideal candidate will be performance-driven, have a demonstrated ability to close new business, vacation rental industry knowledge, and a passion for networking.

Job Responsibilities:
This is a critical role and you'll need a lot of different skills to be successful, including:

  • Researching and reaching out to qualified, targeted homeowners/investors.
  • Researching our local and national competitors.
  • Understanding local regulations.
  • Working with realtors and other referral sources.
  • Creating attention-grabbing, customized mail and email campaigns to potential clients.
  • Cold calling leads.
  • Setting meetings and managing the entire sales process from first contact to close.
  • Getting new homes live in our systems.
  • You'll work directly with SkyRun leadership team to grow the business and manage your career goals.
  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct research to identify new clients in the target market.
  • Lead tracking and prioritization.
  • Arranging and conducting business meetings (in person, online, via phone, etc) with prospective clients and partners.
  • Attending networking and industry events in Vail that may lead to new business opportunities.
  • Preparing and delivering presentations about SkyRun to potential clients and partners.
  • Preparing accurate revenue projections for properties.
  • Preparing sales contracts.
  • Building long-term relationships with new and existing clients and partners.
  • Staying informed on all state, county, and local regulatory requirements for Vacation Rentals in Vail.

Qualifications:
To be successful you'll need to have most, if not all, of these attributes:

  • Knowledge of the vacation rental and hospitality industry.
  • Ability to advise and consult with savvy vacation homeowners to build the foundation of a long-term relationship.
  • A track record of sales success and quota or over quota attainment.
  • Strong communication skills while being comfortable contacting leads by phone, email, in-person, and over video conference.
  • Strong moral compass with a win/win approach to business dealings
  • Most importantly, you'll want to be gregarious and outgoing while being self-motivated, coachable, curious, and reliable.
  • 3-5 Years of proven sales experience.
  • Hospitality experience in the Vacation Rental industry preferred.
  • Experience with cold calling and prospecting leads.
  • Comfortable delivering presentations.
  • Strong communication (oral & written) and follow-up.
  • Proficiency using a CRM platform to manage leads.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Drive.
  • Ability to travel for client meetings.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, forward thinker.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Proven time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks and problem-solve to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to close sales from self-generated and inbound leads.
  • Ability to build trust with prospects and provide in-depth knowledge about SkyRun's approach versus alternatives to meet and exceed client goals.
  • Strong computer skills including G Suite and a strong desire and aptitude for learning new things.
  • Professional communication skills including voice, text and email.
  • Some experience with social media marketing preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas.
  • Self-motivation, a "can do" attitude and a growth mindset.
  • Experience with real estate or short-term property management a plus, bu.t not required.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Proven time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks and problem-solve to meet deadlines
  • To be sure, each day is likely to be different, rewarding and exciting. But, in general, here's what you'll be doing to grow the inventory of vacation rentals.
  • Quickly follow up on all inbound leads and proactively hunt for new sales opportunities through telesales, video conferencing, and in-person meetings.
  • Identify and attend various networking events to grow and promote the SkyRun brand throughout the territory.
  • Add new inventory to the portfolio of homes.
  • Work closely with local operations and support staff to ensure owner satisfaction.
  • Become an expert in all things SkyRun to be a trusted resource to our homeowners.
  • Keep our CRM systems updated with your interactions and activities.

Where and how you’ll be working:

The ideal candidate will reside in or near Vail, Colorado.

  • You'll be expected to travel to prospect homes as/if needed, join networking groups, and attend scheduled and ad hoc meetings with your leader from time to time. But, we are not a meeting-driven organization. Results are key and your success is based upon your ability to bring in new business.
  • Occasional offsite meetings may be required from time to time and this role does require frequent use of computers, phones, handheld devices, and other office equipment.
  • Work hours may vary and occasional after-hours or weekend calls may be required to meet the demands of prospective clients. But...it's ultimately your decision on how, when, and if to work beyond "standard" office hours.
