Enquizit is seeking Business Analyst / Epidemiology SME who will work with end users, state agencies, architects, developers, and design teams to develop a modern disease surveillance system using agile and human-centered design methods. The candidate will support technology transformation and relevant process improvements for a mission-critical system.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a lead analyst and epidemiologist in the design and development of a modern disease surveillance system
  • Help understand traditional and non-traditional public health data sources
  • Aid in the development of policies and standards to facilitate health data sharing
  • Aid in the coordination, streamlining, and quality control of data collection
  • Analyze and visualize large datasets to develop decision-aiding reports
  • Act as a liaison between IT team and public health agencies
  • Work with subject matter experts and project teams to identify, define, collate, document, and communicate system designs, requirements, and processes.
  • Develop innovative solutions for operational and strategic changes
  • Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and stakeholders
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings with a broad, diverse, multi-level audience
  • Creates and conducts user trainings on a variety of topics related to the system
  • Identify and manage resistance to change initiatives
  • Develop change management plans for projects or change initiatives

Required qualifications:
  • Possess demonstrable knowledge in public health disease surveillance systems and related activities
  • Possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Public Health (Epidemiology focus preferred)
  • Two years of experience working with CDC, Federal, State, or related public health entities.
  • Strong understanding of health-related rules, data standards, regulations, and policies such as HIPAA
  • Two years of specific work or training experience in disease tracking and surveillance.
  • Two years or more of relevant hands-on experience in an Analyst role.
  • Able to resolve highly complex requirements conflicts through effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Works proactively to resolve issues.
  • Able to evaluate current processes and create improvements based on system requirements
  • Able to document, communicate, and train on systems, processes, and procedures
  • Able to effectively present options and recommendations and influence stakeholders.
