Job Responsibilities:
Ensures the maintenance of agency facilities and related equipment to include preventative maintenance, repairs, renovations and special projects.
A. Ensures the completion of and performs preventative maintenance and repair on equipment and physical facilities; performs necessary renovation work
to include, but not be limited to: framing, drywall, painting, carpentry, plumbing and electrical.

B. Designs and plans special projects from concept to completion. Performs related construction and fabrication for special projects.
C. Receives work requests, processes and prioritizes. Ensures follow-through and completion of work.
D. Maintains records and certificates required by Federal, State, local and insurance regulations.
E. Maintains an awareness of OSHA standards and safety requirements. Ensures duties are performed with this awareness at all times.
F. Orders and picks up supplies. Completes all paperwork in a timely manner.
G. Assists in the development of departmental budget and operates within established budget.
H. Communicates progress/concerns to the Facilities Director in a timely basis.
Job Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years experience in building and equipment maintenance; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Seven years of electrical experience up to inspection level or certification preferred
Must be knowledgeable of electrical codes
Knowledge of carpentry and plumbing and capable of meeting requirements with quality workmanship
Knowledge of National Building Codes
Ability to meet physical demands of job
Ability to work independently
Valid PA driver’s license required
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
Above average skills in the use of hand and power tools
Must be able to climb ladders, bend, stoop, crouch, crawl and reach
Must have working knowledge of OSHA regulations
Must be able to communicate effectively
Must be able to work beyond the normal work schedule as required
This is a safety sensitive position and employees must:
Receive a DOT physical and/or waiver post offer/pre-employment and annually thereafter
Subject to drug testing pre-hire, post-accident or work-related injury

Salary Range $21.23 to $23.35 based on experience
