We are seeking a full time Broker Operations Manager to join our Schaumburg, IL location.

Job Profile

  • Work end-to-end on enhancements and new capabilities related to Agency Management Systems (AMS) for the Roanoke Insurance Group brokerage operations.
  • Provide expertise and knowledge of industry best practices in order to identify and drive opportunities to introduce and enhance CRM / Agency Management capabilities (proposal generation, contact management, pipeline management, reporting, etc.) as the functional expert and business owner.
  • Drive the creation of a content management strategy for the publishing and governance of core documentation (correspondence, proposals, marketing collateral, etc) across various available repositories that can potentially be expanded to other areas of the organization.
  • Work directly with business leads, technology resources, and executive leadership to lead the development process including writing business requirements / use cases / user stories, implementing enhancements and new features, conducting user acceptance testing and communicating status.
  • Perform functional impact analyses on any proposed changes to existing systems.
  • Coordinate with IT Application support team(s) to plan and map out system releases (including defect fixes, small enhancements and upgrades).
  • Drive user acceptance planning and testing of any system changes.
  • Assist with operational readiness/change management activities as needed.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of operational experience illustrating proven success with supporting internal and external clients with technology.
  • Hands-on experience with commercial-off-the-shelf or SaaS Agency Management/CRM systems (e.g., Applied EPIC, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) is required.
  • Previous experience at a commercial insurance brokerage is strongly preferred. Prior exposure to cargo insurance and/or surety bonds ideal but not required.
  • Familiarity with operational best practices and document management standards a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal and consultative skills to work effectively with vendors, clients, peers, and IT management and staff.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and a desire to optimize existing technologies.
