Job Summary

The Branch Manager is ultimately responsible for the success of the branch, business development, managing the team and making sure the branch is operationally sound. They lead the sales function for the branch, setting the example and the tone for a strong sales environment.

This position will over see both Northstar Bank's Caro and Akron Branches.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • · Responsible for new business growth goals in deposits and loans.
  • · Call on existing customers and prospects, cultivate new business and conduct annual relationship reviews.
  • · Sales/Referrals Leadership role in making referrals to other lines of business (i.e., commercial, mortgage, wealth management).
  • · Responsible for attaining Bank established goals and executing bank-wide marketing initiatives.
  • · Community involvement to increase the bank’s visibility and enhance new and existing business opportunities. Represent bank in community activities through local service organizations, associations, etc.
  • · Accept/process/approve loan applications, and/or refer loan request to appropriate individuals to ensure prompt response to customer inquiries and requests. Follow up with customer or lending officer as needed.
  • · Open accounts, perform account maintenance and perform the duties of a personal banker as needed.
  • · Coach staff in customer service standards, cross-selling opportunities, referrals, and procedures.
  • · Oversee the timely completion of branch audits, reports and inspections.
  • · Ensure branch receives cleans audits and that policies/procedures are being followed.
  • · Conduct monthly branch meetings
  • MINIMUM QUALFICIATIONS
  • · Bachelors degree in business
  • · 3-5 years management experience in banking or financial service environment
  • · Proven leadership ability
  • · Exceptional sales and presentation skills
  • · Superb written and verbal communication skills
  • · Proficient in Microsoft programs, Word Excel, Outlook, etc.
