Position Summary: Covington High School is seeking a head boys tennis coach. Covington competes in Sectional 10, currently with Attica, Benton Central, Fountain Central, and Seeger. The Trojans are coming off a 11-3 record, 4-1 in the Wabash Conference, and Sectional Championship.
Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Oversee Covington tennis program from k-12
- Plan and execute weekly/daily practice plans
- Evaluate and help select assistants and youth coaches
- Abide by all IHSAA and Covington rules and regulations
- Communicate effectively with administration, players, and parents
- Record and report inventory of equipment
- Lead off-season/summer workouts
- Model appropriate behavior on and off the court
Qualifications:
- Preferred prior head coaching experience
- Preferred CPR certifications
- NFHS Learn courses
- Effective coaching techniques and skills
