Job description
Fayetteville Technical Community College is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Bookstore Assistant position. Duties
This individual performs a wide variety of responsible, technical and clerical work in support of bookstore operations, including but not limited to the following duties; cashiering; marketing merchandise; assisting customers with purchases; unloading deliveries and counting merchandise; checking in merchandise; resolving problems related to shipments such as short, damaged, and incorrect shipments; handling returns of shipments; scanning merchandise to ensure items charge correctly; stocking merchandise; processing and shipping online orders; assisting with year-end inventory counts; answering and returning phone calls; assisting with the daily closeout and balancing of cash receipts; and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of the twelfth grade, or equivalent; one year of responsible accounting clerical experience involving heavy public contact; ability to lift 40 pounds; ability to stand for extended periods of time.
