FINISH PAINTER (Experienced) - $2500 Sign On Bonus - 1st shift and 2nd shift

Truck Bodies &Equipment International (TBEI), a Minnesota based company, encompasses five leading manufacturers of dump truck bodies, hoists, and truck and trailer equipment. Due to increased business, the Lake Crystal, MN location is rapidly growing and needs to hire skilled talent in a variety of departments to support the increase in customer orders.

1st shift hours: Monday through Thursday 5:45AM to 4:15PM with overtime on Friday's as needed

2nd shift hours: Monday through Thursday 4:15pm to 2:45am with overtime on Friday's as needed

Job Functions:

• Setting up and operating painting equipment to paint truck bodies or parts
• Use pressure pots and air guns to prime paint, apply undercoating, and top coat finish paint.
• Mix paints.
• Match to customer specifications. (Expert level candidates would be able to do more blending / touch-ups. The ideal candidate would have either education or experience in pressure pots / air gun painting.)
• Heavy industrial atmosphere including exposure to fumes, odors, mists, grease, oil, heat, humidity, cramped quarters and awkward positions
• Use a computer to view work procedures, blueprints, due dates and special instructions.
• Proficient in reading a tape measure, are comfortable learning & using an overhead lifting device and are able to perform basic math functions.
• Wear personal protective equipment and recognize and follow safety rules

Job Requirements:

1. Must be approved to wear a respirator by successfully completing a pulmonary exam and a medical questionnaire to be evaluated by the company appointed PLHCP (Physician or other Licensed Health Care Professional). Must follow our Respiratory Program including participating in periodic training and medical reviews, following proper cleaning procedures, etc.

2. Two years’ education or equivalent knowledge in automotive (polyurethane & prep) painting.

3. Ability to manually move product and materials up to 50 lbs. through physical exertion or using overhead crane, including but not limited to lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and bending.

4. Ability to paint in a variety of positions including but not limited to kneeling, crouching, bending, twisting, turning, and climbing, usually on concrete surfaces, ladders and inside dump bodies.

5. Ability to determine and make painting equipment adjustments as needed, read complicated instructions, measuring devices, and perform basic computer data entry.

6. Must be a team player working with co-workers, other departments and/or other TBEI facilities. The focus is on meeting company goals and initiatives.

7. Ability to learn operations of multiple machines/jigs within a job area

8. Must work at a reasonable pace and within our quality standards to insure timely completion of tasks and meet customer needs

9. Must have maintained continuous employment in a position for a minimum of one year to be considered for employment with TBEI.
