POSITION SUMMARY:
The Birthday Party Host is responsible for providing guests with exceptional customer service during YMCA Birthday Parties at our Sinking Spring Location. The Host will ensure excellent supervision of all party operations while maintaining a clean, fun, and safe environment for children and families to celebrate.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ensure party space is clean and adequately prepped prior to the arrival of guests
- Greet host families at The YMCA Welcome Center and assist guests with setup
- Interact positively and enthusiastically with all party guests - Assist host family as needed
- Actively engage with children during the party - Lead special games/activities to enhance overall experience
- Enforce all YMCA safety policies and procedures - Maintain control of the party
- Assist host family with break down procedures at completion of party
- Ask for customer feedback (survey) and report to direct supervisor
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize party area(s) after guests depart
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Required - High School diploma preferred - must be 18+
Experience Preferred - Experience supervising children in an educational or recreational setting/experience in a customer service-related field
Must be comfortable with children and enjoy interacting with people
