Primary Function:

The primary function of the BIM Operator is to provide technical expertise in 3D modeling to support construction of industrial facilities.

Work Environment:

The primary work environment will be within an office setting within an industrial facility where exposure to outdoor weather conditions and where proper PPE may be required for a variety of hazards.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The roles and responsibilities of BIM Operator may include, but are not limited to the following items:

• Provide technical expertise to support Project Management in the execution phases of the project.
• Maintain 3D model based on daily updates from the project team.
• Produce 2D installation and detail drawings from 3D model.
• Monitor 3D Models after clash check and modeling reviews and report results to the Client, immediately in the event of abnormalities.
• Ensure all print documents are kept to document control standards and processes.
• Partner with project team for best practices when establishing constructability and scheduling factors.
• Special projects as assigned.

Qualification Guidelines:

Experience:

• Minimum 7 years of CAD drafting/design experience.
• Minimum 5 years of 3D modeling experience.
• Operational knowledge of LOD 350 standards.
• Experience with Procore preferred.

Skills:

· Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to Multi-Task.

· Ability to work in a team environment to accomplish established department, office, and/or company-wide goals.

· Strong interpersonal skills, able to convey trust and respect, in day-to-day activities as well as in more formal, and meeting settings i.e., excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).

· Should have working knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Education/Requirements:

· 2 years of college or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.

· Formal AutoCAD Training and Certification.

· Must be willing to attend continued training applicable to job as deemed necessary by Starcon

· Must have a valid driver’s license

Safety/Environmental:

· Must be able to pass applicable safety training as well as any required site-specific training.

· Must be able to read and understand safety instructions, signs, labels and permits in

· English.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
