SUMMARY

As a Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing Tone’s shipping and distribution strategy. Your main duty will be to ensure secure, accurate, timely, and productive shipping processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies including daily management of raw materials to support production across three production facilities on site.
• Supervise and oversee the shipping and receiving team members-including weekly team meetings and regular one on one meetings, PTO /scheduling management and other general management duties.
• Develop and maintain KPI’s for the shipping and receiving team
• Collaborate and effectively communicate with the Sales Department, the Customer Service Department, the Production team, as well as with anybody else involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
• Collaborate with the Inventory Manager/team on a regular basis to assist in maintaining accurate inventory companywide- including but not limited to regular cycle counts, customer inventory tracking and year-end inventory.
• Manage the storage and disposition of “work in progress” items and re-work.
• Track and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments. Including directing deliveries to correct unloading buildings on campus.
• Ensure the trucks and deliveries get properly unloaded, and sort and stock receivables and that receiving paperwork is filed and shared in a timely manner with other departments as needed.
• Maintain an accurate log sheet of daily shipping and receiving transactions.
• Ensure that the Shipping & Receiving Department engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude
• Identify shipping issues and implement solutions in a timely manner
• Create and present reports for upper management
• Suggest solutions for process optimization
• Properly welcome newly hired SH&R employees and provide with training as necessary
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Perform all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods including use of barcode scanners.
• Address issues relating to defective materials or questionable conditions
• In charge of maintaining the SH&R work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and ensuring that all safety regulations are followed by the SH&R team.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Shipping & Receiving Qualifications / Skills:

• Good leadership skills
• Good knowledge of logistics operations and shipping procedures and documents
• Critical thinker with excellent problem solving skills
• Team player
• Very good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong sense of time management and urgency
• Very good math and computer skills
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) required

Education, Experience and Licensing Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Warehouse / Shipping & Receiving Manager
• Forklift Certification within 90 days of job entry date
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Food Manufacturing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

• Melrose Park, IL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Warehouse Manager: 5 years (Required)
• Food Manufacturing: 3 years (Required)
