The Dallas Innovation Alliance Mobile Learning Lab team is looking for an energetic Program Site Guide to undertake a variety of onsite administrative and program management tasks for our onsite programs, which include afterschool STEAM, popup workshops, basic digital skills support and more!. You will help in planning and organizing programs and activities as well as carrying out important operational duties. To be an excellent site guide, you must be organized and detail-oriented, comfortable working with diverse teams and hands on support. If you have skills in program development, youth engagement and community resources support, we’d like to meet you! The goal will be to facilitate the effective management of programs according to the organization’s standards. Special consideration will be given to Dallas area residents residing in zip codes identified as priority in the CIty of Dallas’s Broadband and Digital Equity Strategic Plan. Staff will be provided with orientation and training on the programs we administer!

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite support and instruction in each of our programs including but not limited to after school programming, (EM)powerment Pop Ups, workshops, summer programming and basic digital skills programs
  • Support planning and coordination of a program and its activities
  • Assist as a liaison with community organizations that are providing STEAM/Technology/Computer instruction or programming
  • Responsible for set up and break down of MLL outdoor classroom
  • Support students onsite with academic/homework assistance
  • Support onsite community partner with programming
  • Facilitate classroom/site management best practices
  • Assist with partner compliance visits and operations
  • Ensure implementation of policies and practices
  • Support communications through media relations, social media etc.
  • Help build positive relations within the team and external parties
  • Ensure technology is used correctly for all operations
  • Prepare paperwork as needed
  • Keep updated records and create reports or proposals
  • Support growth and program development

Skills

  • Fluent in Spanish; full professional proficiency is preferred.
  • Experience as program coordinator, instructor or relevant position
  • Experience in capturing performance data for program measurement
  • Tech savvy, skilled in Google applications, MS Office
  • Ability to work with diverse and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and efficient
  • Experience with child care or afterschool support
  • Experience with adult education programs
  • Experience navigating the social services ecosystem
  • Some college or certification in business, education, community development or relevant field ideal but not required
  • Reliable transportation is required
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds if needed
