We are seeking a skillful, motivated, compassionate full-time Registered Dietitian to join the San Benito Health Foundation (SBHF) Community Health Center’s team.

This is a great opportunity for entry-level Registered Dietitians looking to make a difference at the community level. Our Registered Dietitians work in an outpatient setting alongside the medical and WIC team to provide counseling services for the prevention and management of chronic diseases, nutrition education across the lifespan, and referrals to other community resources as needed.

The Registered Dietitian serves as a case manager to our patients with chronic conditions. The Registered Dietitian works closely with the patients to develop an individualized plan of care, centered on behavioral changes for developing a healthy lifestyle and coordinating care within and outside of the clinic. Areas of focus include reducing rates of uncontrolled diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia.

Within the WIC department, the Registered Dietitian oversees the nutritional component of the program. The duties will entail: nutrition assessments and subsequent education and counseling of pregnant, lactating, postpartum women, infants, and children from birth to five (5) years of age; coordinating the topics for individual and group nutrition education; and assessing nutritional need for therapeutic formulas.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Registered Dietitian

-Active registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration

-OR-

2. RD Eligible
-Completion of an accredited dietetic internship
-Must pass RD exam and possess active registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of hire

Note: Degreed Nutritionists may apply as a Health Educator

3. Bilingual/Spanish is a must
